Hurricane Sandy
We got mighty lucky, mostly rain and colorful leaves. Beautiful collage on Shadek steps.

What's new?
People often ask "What's new?" when asking about the Library, and to be honest, not much, but that's not a bad thing. Outside the Library resources & devices are developing at a rapid clip. Innovation abounds! But can the customer keep up in any meaningful way? More often than not, people resort to resources and advice vetted by friends or lists. Wikipedia is amazingly popular because it appears atop any search, and wiki listings often have decent images and table-of-contents.
The Library is actually a perfect match for today's information seeker. Our environment is simple and uncluttered. And librarians have already vetted resources for students. More than anything, the conversations we have with patrons are the key to finding good research materials. Students might know the pieces & parts required by profs, but they don't always know the questions to ask in order to find resources that best suit the task at hand.
So, stop by the Ask Me desk. Strike up a conversation with a librarian. You might just walk away with a better focus, a clearer path, and quite possibly something that is NEW to YOU!
